To remove the wax from the carpet or upholstery, you will need a brown paper bag and a steam iron. Paper bags work well.
- Cut the brown paper bag to make it flat.
- Place the brown paper bag on the affected carpet, with any print away from the carpet.
- Adjust the steam iron in a moderate setting and connect it. Let it warm up.
- Once heated, place the steam iron on the brown paper bag over the wax stain. Move the iron back and forth over the wax stain. The iron should never come into direct contact with the carpet, only with the paper bag. As the wax heats up, it will begin to absorb into the paper bag.
- When a dark spot appears on the bag, move a dry area of the bag over the wax spot and continue moving the steam iron over the area.
- When there is no more wax absorbed in the bag, you will have removed the wax.
